Ok, even the best matchmaking engine can sometimes find talents who aren't the best fit - but it's all part of the plan! Sometimes Perfect will try different profiles to get a more well-rounded picture of your ideal candidate for the role.

When you Decline a match, you're prompted to say what it is about their profile that made you hit the Decline button. You can get as specific as needed with the Skills or Something Else section or give a broader reason, such as them being overqualified or just with irrelevant experience.

By the way, your declined matches always stay in your pipe if you decide to change your mind and want to get back to them later; just go to your Declined folder and click 'undo' if needed.

What happens when you decline a match?

Then, Perfect takes every decline reason, aggregates the data from your declined matches, and adjusts to ensure they don't repeat themselves in future matches.

Did you decline multiple matches on missing a specific skill? Perfect will ensure the next matches have this skill specified in their data. Maybe you wrote a specific industry when declining on Something Else? This will be analyzed and put into the next round of matches.

All match feedback is imperative for Perfect to improve the next round of matches, so don't leave these talents hanging!
