Outreach in GoPerfect is built around an agent. You tell it what you want, and it drafts a full sequence for you using AI plus everything it already knows about your business and the role. From there, you can edit any message directly, or just keep talking to the agent and ask it to make changes.
How Agentic Outreach Works
You don't fill in fields or pick a mode. You instruct the agent in plain language, and it builds a complete sequence for you — using AI and the context it has on your company, your role, and your senders. Every sequence it generates also comes with a sequence score, so you can see how strong it is before you ship.
From there, you have two ways to refine it:
Edit directly — click into any step or message and make changes by hand.
Instruct the agent — ask for changes in the chat ("make step 2 shorter", "add a LinkedIn follow-up", "change the tone to be warmer") and watch the sequence update on the side.
When the sequence looks right and the score is where you want it, hit Start.
Step 1: Connect Your Senders
Before the agent can build a sequence, it needs to know how you'll send. Connect at least one of the following:
You can connect both — the agent will weave them together in your sequence.
Step 2: Share a Bit of Context
The agent will ask for your company website (or the company you're hiring for). It uses this to silently research key signals about the business — things like product, market, recent news — so your messages sound informed and specific to the role, not generic.
This step happens once per setup. You don't need to write a long brief or fill in fields — just answer the agent's questions naturally.
Step 3: Review, Edit, and Refine
The agent drafts a starting sequence on the right with a sequence score attached. From here, you can shape it however you want — either by editing directly, or by talking to the agent. A few examples of things you can ask for:
"Add a LinkedIn step after the second email."
"Make the tone warmer and shorter."
"Wait 5 business days before the follow-up instead of 3."
"Rewrite the subject line of the first email — something more curious."
"Mention that we offer hybrid work."
"Remove the last step."
The sequence on the right updates as you go, and the score updates with it — so you can see exactly what will be sent, and how strong the sequence is, before you ship.
💡 Tip: Most replies come after the third follow-up, so a sequence of around four steps is a good baseline. Ask the agent to add or remove steps until it fits.
Step 4: Hit Start
When the sequence on the right looks right, click Start. The agent generates the messages and your outreach goes live. Send Guard handles the pacing so your messages go out safely without flagging your domain.
From this point on, you'll track activity, replies, and any held messages in the Manage tab on the left-side navigation. Senders, your signature, and the option to pause the sequence live in the Settings tab.
Heads up — agentic outreach only applies to positions created on or after May 28, 2026. Positions created before that date will keep using the previous outreach setup (Auto / Custom / Agency Mode). If you want the new agentic experience for an existing role, the simplest path is to open a new position for it.
FAQs
Do I still pick between Auto, Custom, and Manual modes?
No. There's just one experience now — the agent builds the sequence based on your instructions and context. The old modes are no longer part of the experience for new positions.
Can I change my sequence after it's live?
Yes. Go back into the editor and either edit directly or ask the agent to make the change. You can also pause the sequence at any time from the Settings tab.
What if the agent gets something wrong?
Tell it, or edit it yourself. If a message feels off, ask for a rewrite, give it more context, or be specific about what to change ("less salesy", "shorter", "mention the team size") — or just edit the message directly in the sequence.
What is the sequence score?
It's a quality signal for the sequence the agent built — how strong it's likely to perform. As you make changes (yours or the agent's), the score updates so you can tell whether each tweak is helping or hurting before you ship.
What does "Send Guard held" mean in the Manage tab?
Send Guard paces your outreach to protect your sender reputation. A "held" indicator means a message is waiting for the right window to go out — it's not stuck or broken, it's just being sent safely.
