To get the best possible results from GoPerfect, a few foundational steps matter more than anything else:
You need enough candidates in your pipeline;
At least one connected outreach channel with an active campaign;
Connect your ATS.
These three elements work together to ensure GoPerfect can operate as intended and deliver meaningful outcomes from day one.
Create Your Pipeline
Your pipeline determines what GoPerfect can work on. Without enough matches, outreach volume and results will be limited, regardless of how the rest of the system is configured.
Step 1: Create a Position
Click on "Create Position":
Step 2: Run a Search
Follow the chat flow on the left-hand side and respond to the prompts by typing in the box.
You'll be guided through:
Title and location.
Preferences such as experience level, interview targets, and hiring timeline.
Top skills (focus on 2–3 essentials only)
Optional: filters like industry, company size, or background
💡 Pro Tip: Don’t paste full job descriptions — enter only the skills and traits you need to see the candidate has to make you want to reach out to them. Let the AI handle the heavy lifting.
Once ready, click the pink “Go” or “Sounds Good” button to begin sourcing candidates.
Step 3: Add Candidates to Outreach
After the search was initiated, you'll start seeing match cards. Add as many relevant candidates as you can to Outreach. It will increase the chances of a hire.
Add at least three candidates and then activate Autopilot, your sourcing agent. It's automatically adjusted to review the amount of candidates needed to obtain your wanted amount of interviews and will substantially reduce most of your sourcing time, so you can focus only on people who are actually interested in the position.
If this is your first search, here are two articles that better explain Match Cards and Autopilot.
Set Up Outreach
Head over to the Outreach tab and follow these steps:
Step 1: Click “Connect accounts”, then “Link a channel”
Step 2: Add a new channel — choose email, and follow the prompts for Google or Microsoft
Step 3: Copy and paste your email signature from your email provider into GoPerfect. This way, the signature will be added to outreach done via GoPerfect.
When you're done, click "LIGHT IT UP" / "ACTIVATE & GO!".
⚠️ If your email setup requires IT approval, please coordinate with them before the meeting. Let us know if you need help — we’re happy to support setup. This will ensure a smooth onboarding process and allow us to focus on optimizing your results and getting you replies faster.
Step 4: finalize your Auto campaign. Click here to learn how.
Connect Your ATS
Connecting your ATS allows GoPerfect to stay aligned with your hiring workflow. This step is critical for long-term accuracy and scale.
Once connected, GoPerfect can:
Automatically upload all candidates added to outreach into your ATS, so you will always have their contact information.
Identify candidates already existing in your ATS, and automatically ensure they don't cost you credits.
Mark candidates who are already in your ATS, and differentiate them by not sending them automated outreach unless you choose to do so manually.
Step 1: Get your ATS API Key. Connecting your ATS is very easy. All you need is your ATS API Key. Its location is dependent on the type of ATS you're using. If you are not an admin of your ATS or unable to obtain the API key, reach out to your internal IT team for assistance.
Step 2: Connect a position to your ATS. From the Overview Screen by clicking on the Gear icon, "Connect position to ATS", and choosing your ATS.
💡 Pro Tip: if you don't wish GoPerfect to push candidates automatically to your ATS, but instead do it manually, you can disable the "Two-Way ATS Sync".
You can also connect your ATS via the "Overview" tab of each position.
